"It's Your Business"
We can all learn more about ourselves and our business, when listening to the stories of others!
This podcast is for you, if you're someone who's all about making business connections and hearing entrepreneurial stories.
We dive into the business journeys of UK entrepreneurs but don't worry, we're keeping it real and down-to-earth.
Join me as I sit down with everyday business people, listen to them sharing their stories: the ups, the downs, and everything in between, in a way that's easy to connect with.
We'll get into the nitty-gritty of 'what,' 'when,' 'how,' and 'why' they've built their businesses, and you'll pick up some practical insights that you can apply in your own journey.
Whether you're a go-getter just starting out or you're climbing the corporate ladder, this podcast is your go-to source for relatable stories and actionable advice in the world of business.
This is for you if you are in business, a business entrepreneur, a leader, self-employed, manage a business or just interested in business stories.

More Than Numbers - People, Purpose and Positive Impact at PM+M with Judith Dugdale

In this Ribble Valley Business Awards Special, I’m joined by Judith Dugdale from PM+M Accountants, a Lancashire-founded firm that has been supporting businesses for over 100 years, with offices across Lancashire.
Judith explains what “modern accountancy” really looks like today, from the familiar essentials like accounts, tax, payroll and audit, to more specialist support such as corporate finance for fundraising, growth, acquisitions and business sales. We also chat about PM+M’s cloud team, using software and automation to make finance functions quicker, smarter and more efficient for clients.
Judith shares her own journey into accountancy (which started with a dream of becoming a PE teacher), and why her client base often centres on family businesses, where people dynamics and succession planning can be just as important as the numbers.
She also talks about PM+M’s Positive Impact Team, which puts charitable giving decisions into the hands of staff, supporting causes across Lancashire through donations, volunteering and initiatives like their Christmas present appeal.
Finally, Judith explains why PM+M sponsors the Hospitality Business Award at the Ribble Valley Business Awards, and how judging entries helps them stay connected to the real challenges and innovations happening across local businesses of every size.
